Formerly known as "Rose Paper Co Pte Ltd", the Company was renamed as "MayBev Pte Ltd" in late 2008, revising its core business to being a distributor for liquor and beverages. The Company, being a business associate of Maya Corporation Pte Ltd, which it has upheld its sole distributorship of "Asahi" beer for more than 30 years, took the step to operate this business as an independent entity officially on 1st January 2009. In July 2009, the name "MayBev" became an official registered trade mark.

Today, MayBev Pte Ltd("MayBev") is the distributor for Sapporo Premium Japanese beer in Singapore and it's part of Carlsberg Singapore Pte Ltd. The Company's core business includes marketing and distribution of liquor and beverages, with its major brands being Sapporo Premium Beer, Carlsberg , Kronenbourg 1664 blanc, Connor's , Somersby, Matsui, Nagahama, Amahagan, Nikka, Glen Turner, Label 5, Gibson's Gin, Cutty Sark, Gekkeikan, Takara, Hwayo Premium Soju, Chorong-Chorong Soju, Blue Pyrenees, Rockwines, Borges and many others.
