Every spring, the biggest sake competition in Japan takes place by National Bureau's Research Institute of Brewing.
(This competition has a long history, from 1911.) All of Sake breweries in Japan bring their masterpieces in the year
to this competition. Gekkeikan also joined and got a gold prize. Some people may say "Big brewery can not make
best sake", but we are confident with this sake. Our long tradition of 370 years and progressive producing systems
result in this our masterpiece. This limited edition "Gold Prize" is the only sake that you can enjoy exactly the same
quality as the one for competition. Using 100% Yamada Nishiki rice (known as the ‘king of sake rice’) milled to 35%
of it’s original size.
